Irwin Simon, the CEO of Canadian marijuana business Aphria, is looking for additional opportunities to get brands in the customer items area, hoping to grow beyond marijuana. Simon previously established the consumer items business Hain Celestial Group, which specializes in natural and natural food, drinks and individual care items. A month later, Aphria revealed its merger prepares with another Canadian cannabis company, Tilray, along with its hemp consumer product brand name Manitoba Harvest, to form the biggest marijuana business by revenue.The businesss stock closed down 14% to $13.95 on Monday, after the company reported that coronavirus lockdowns in parts of Canada and Germany hurt sales of its items in its fiscal third quarter.
